Evoking a rustic Lakeland shepherd’s bothy, this romantic cottage is characterised by exposed stone walls, natural wood, and sheepskin throws that make it even more romantic in bad weather. The ground floor contains a glassed summer room with love seat, an open plan kitchen/living area with wood burning stove, and a wet room.
Upstairs to the characterful beamed King bedroom and en-suite. Cosy up under the eaves of the covered balcony with a cup of tea and enjoy the views even in the Cumbrian rain.

Cooking
With plenty of worktop space, double ovens and instant convection hobs the kitchens are well equipped and designed ready to create great food. Cook books sit on the shelves ready to provide inspiration.
Shopping
Morrisons, Asda and Booths are within 15 minutes’ drive for stocking up. Local Spa shops are with 5 minutes drive. Alternatively should you choose to order your shopping in advance Sainsbury, Morrisons and Tesco will deliver and we can take these orders for you if arrival is delayed.
On arrival
Guests arriving between 3pm and 7pm will be met by a team member, to help you locate your cottage, explain how things work and show you around. If your arrival is after 7pm we will leave the doors unlocked, lights on with the key on the side, the prosecco chilling in the fridge and ensure we come and meet you after your first night at Mirefoot. A welcome pack will greet you with Prosecco, Locally roasted coffee, individual wrapped tea bags from a company with 250 years experience, a tasty local jam and treats.
