Fabulous secluded cottages in the Lake District

“Pure luxury
We stayed at the twitchers cottage for 3 nights, we absolutely loved it, the cottage was luxurious no expense has been spared when planning the cottages and the beautiful spa, the pool, jacuzzi the sauna, just like a 5* hotel spa all to yourself! Even the shower gel and bath foam were pure luxury. The welcome pack was outstanding, the sweet treats were absolutely delicious, the coffee and Prosecco were a welcome gesture. The location was so peaceful all that could be heard was the bird song! Beautiful drives to Keswick, Ambleside, Windermere and Kendal, then to come home to the cottage with wood burner underfloor heating and a bath in the bedroom! What more could you need! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. The host was really friendly and welcoming and on hand in case of any issues but we did not need to contact him as everything was perfect.”

“Fantastic quiet accommodation in the countryside, close to the lakes!
Excellent location – quiet and tucked away with dog walks on the doorstep but also 10-15min from Windermere and the lakes so very convenient. Really great accommodation – high quality everything, well equipped, very comfortable beds and sofa!

Staff were really helpful and friendly, site generally very well kept, the spa is immaculate and a great place to chill out at the end of the day. My wife booked a massage with Sarah – she really enjoyed it, and also got a few tips on places to visit and eat!

Overall an excellent stay – we will be back!”

“Amazing.
Have just returned from a wonderful stay at Mirefoot Cottages. We stayed with friends and our dog in Kirkstone and were blown away by the facilities, the beautiful grounds and friendly staff. The cottages were in a very peaceful location but only 15 minutes drive from Kendal and Windermere. We treated ourselves to a private dining experience with Martin Frickel during our stay and would highly recommend. The spa facilities on site were immaculate. We treated ourselves to a massage with Sarah and again would highly recommend.

We can’t wait to return in the future.”

I had a fantastic massage, and there were loads of scenic walks and other things to do and see in the area (bike hire, kayaking etc), as well as places to eat!
