This Cottage is on the Shores of Lake Windermere and not at Mirefoot. Map Location Here.

A unique property, sleeping 6, with access for guests to its amazing shared grounds of over 200 acres and 3/4 of a mile of lake frontage.

Previously a fantastic family home whcih is now available for hoildays, sleeping a maximum of 6 guests. Townhead cottage has the following accommodation arranged up side down (!) over three floors.

Ground floor

• 1 Double bedroom
• 2 twin bedrooms.
• Bathroom with wc, sink, bath with shower over.
• A children's cot is available on request.

First Floor

• Large sitting / dining room with jotul multi fuel stove in the inglenook fireplace. We provide a starter amount of logs and coal. We find that a starter amount usually enough for a whole week. We can provide extra on request.
• Study with gallery with payphone.
• Fully fitted kitchen with Microwave oven, Dishwasher, Fridge-freezer.
• Outside laundry room ; washer and tumble drier.
• Cloakroom and wc .sink

2nd floor

• Large sitting room / playroom with tv and snooker / pool table.
• Airing cupboard with ironing board and iron.

In the cottage there are:

• Three TV's: A 32 " LCD in the sitting room.
• TV in the large twin bedroom
• TV in sitting / playroom on 2nd floor.
  All the TVs have Sky freeview. (Main handset control in first floor sitting room)
  Dvd player
  Cd /radio player
• Electric blankets
• Free Internet via Ethernet

Outside

• Large outside patio and enclosed garden, patio furniture and bbq.
• Shared grounds of 200 acres including 3/4 a mile of lake frontage, with a private bay. Locally known as “ringing crag” or “black rock”.
• Small boat launching by arrangement.

The Property does not accept pets.
Natural spring water supply.

Letting

Our changeover day is Friday and so our lets are from Fri to fri. We do accept short lets out of peak times. Please do enquire if you are interested in a short let.

Electricity is included, however we do charge for Oil consumption. This calculated using a flow meter and is charged at cost.

There is a large car park if you plan to bring more than one vehicle.
