These 5 star, Pet Friendly, Lake District Holiday Cottages are located in the Lake District National Park in a superb rural location only 15 minutes from Lake Windermere.

Set in over an acre of landscaped gardens including pond, stream, arboretum and tennis court.As Guests you are welcome to spend time exploring and relaxing in parts of the garden where seating is available. The fells of the Lake District are immediately accessible from our own bridle path.

Booking

Mirefoot is bookable throughout the year.

In the Summer we take bookings for whole weeks from Friday to Friday (Book Here). These availability pages are automatically updated so you can be sure of current information.

In the Winter we take short term bookings as well. The Lake District Holiday Cottages are available from Friday to Monday for a three night weekend or from Monday to Friday for a four night weekday booking (Book Here).

If, during the summer, a week is still available with less than two weeks to go, then we might also accept short term Self Catering holidays during the summer. Please check our availability pages to see what types of bookings are available at the moment. The Self Catering booking pages are automatically updated on a daily basis.

The weather here is often described as 'wet'. We like to think that this is an unfair description of our home. It is wet when it rains but it is the number of wet days that really counts. If you compare Manchester with the Lake District it is very obvious that the number of wet days in Manchester far out numbers the number of wet days for us.

Obviously if you are coming to visit, we recommend that you come with all the right clothes for the time of year. Don't forget your waterproofs, walking boots, hats and gloves. We have excellent facilities in all of our accommodation to help you wash and dry any clothes. There is plenty of hanging space and plenty of room for all those rucksacks and suitcases you might bring.

If you are keen on cycling then we can provide locked storage areas for your bikes and there are many cycling routes available from our front door. As we are on our own private bridle path, you can literally cycle straight off into the fells without even touching the tarmac!
